| For our customers who wish to grow in soil or to try their hand at organic gardening, Eco carries a variety of natural fertilizers and additives. Organic gardening has been around for many years, but knowledge of a bit different kind is needed from that used in hydroponics to get really good results. Rich, loam soil usually contains all the necessary mineral elements needed for good plant growth. The trouble is, most people don't have "ideal soil"! It's usually too dense (not enough air reaches the plant roots and it doesn't drain right), too sandy, or doesn't contain the right kind or amount of nutrients. After your soil has been "conditioned" (loosened up with additions of peat moss, perlite or vermiculite - all natural products) and "corrected" for pH with dolomite lime or quicklime (calcium oxide, also natural), the fertilizers and additives listed below can then be chosen to grow abundant fruits, vegetables and flowers organically. |
